Gorkha, 2015Jan29. 2nd Gorkhali Cup 9-a-side, football tournament hosted by Haramtari club kicks off today in Haramtari Ground in Gorkha district. Twenty teams are taking part in this tournament where some of the teams are from Kathmandu and Chitwan.

Today in the opening match Defending champions Gurkha`z United beat Social Wealfare Training Centre, Nayabazzar ,Kathmandu by 1-0. Ravi Kumar Paswan (jersey no.9) scored a goal in 50th minute of the match from 8 yards distance from the left flank. Before, match opening ceremony was done in presence of invited guest with cultural program .The famous Milan Gurung was also present as special guest in the opening ceremony. Guests wished for successful tournament and also praised Haramtari club for their effort to develop football in Gorkha District.Haramtari club is also associated with with a campaign of’ Hamro Pahunch’ (our access) a non government organization working against HIV AIDS giving title Zero new HIV infection ,Zeo discrimination and Zero AIDS related Deaths - GOAL AGAINST HIV And AIDS .The tournament will last for seven days with three matches every per day. Tournaments prize money is 1.00,000rs for winner , 50,000 rs for runner up and 20,000rs for semifinalist.
